Title: Mentoring Coordinator 2023 - Interested? Send an email to Meri Price, Director Mentor and Career Programs
Description: This person effectively kicks off the Mentoring Circles each quarter, setting the tone for a successful, collaborative Mentoring Circle experience for participants. Their primary role is to curate each group of three to five participants with attention to each individual’s background and experience, based on information collected in the Mentoring Circle intake survey. This includes monitoring the sign-up forms, addressing any concerns via the team email account, and matching and communicating with each group throughout the duration of each session. This person works within the Mentoring Team, with most interaction on email and occasional conference calls. Time commitment of ~5 hours per month is cyclical, as new Mentor Circles begin a few times a year.
Objectives / goal: Monitor mentoring sign-up form and create groups of 3-5 based on predetermined session sign up and start dates. Communicate with each mentoring circle of 3-5 participants, providing topic content and introducing the group with suggestions for launch. Continue to streamlineand improve upon process as needed.
Responsibilities: Monitor mentoring sign up form and create mentoring circles for each session. Communicate with and launch groups at the beginning of each cycle via email. Check in with groups and monitor issues throughout each session in the mentoring gmail account. Check mentoring gmail account regularly.
Time commitment: 5-10 hours a month with peak busy time leading up to each session launch.
Term: 2 year (preferred) starting August 1, 2023 with the option to renew.
What we are looking for: Passionate about mentorship and creating connections within the field of international education. Strong attention to detail. Process oriented. Big picture thinker. Experience with Google Sheets and Docs.

We do have an ongoing need for short term volunteers who can step in for a quick moment to help us with specific needs. We call these Occasional Project "Sprint" Volunteers (multiple positions to be filled)

Project Sprint Volunteers
We have created this *new* volunteer space so that you can help us with our mission even when you may not have time for a bigger role. This project-based opportunity is a chance to use your skill set or partake in something you feel passionate about. We call it a sprint as you will volunteer for a short time.
We will keep your interest in our database and reach out when there is a project that may interest you. You can say “yes or no” at the time leaving you free to be a volunteer when and if it suits you. Some roles may be accomplished in under a week and some may require a bit longer. We hope this will be a new way to get busy people into our world and help us advance important work for our field.
