Embrace and extend your sphere of influence by hosting a League Information, Networking and Knowledge (LINK) event in your community! LINK leaders play an important role in supporting the League’s mission by uniting women leaders of international higher education, creating networks and advancing skill development in the field.

LINK events are casual meetings for members/non-members of the League in your area.  We also look for LINK leaders to host a more formal event at during regional conferences such as the NAFSA Regional Conferences.

Sign up now to host an event, spread the word and set the movement in fire!  We will work through the details of your event with you and give you guidelines and hints to make it successful.  We can spread the news through our website and can also share pics and stories from your meeting!

An exploration into getting the best out of your life & how you choose to live it

The Global Leadership League is excited to invite you to our first signature event in London. We have two amazing speakers who individually & with the organisations they have helped to found, have had huge success’, made mistakes, felt totally elated…. And scared too at times! Come along to hear about their personal journeys along the rocky yellow brick road of personal leadership. Sponsors for this event: CIEE Global Institute & Flywire

Speakers: Frances Scott – Founder of 50:50 Parliament  and   Tripti Maheshwari - Founder Student Circus

Frances Scott founded 50:50 Parliament in 2013, being a passionate advocate for better gender balance in Parliament. She has campaigned hard to address this issue from organising events to providing submissions to select committees. When speaking for 50:50 in Canterbury she inspired Rosie Duffield to stand. Rosie then went on to be one of the 12 extra women elected to Parliament in 2017. This was the start of 50:50’s Ask Her To Stand campaign to encourage women along the pathway to Parliament.

Frances is an antenatal teacher with the NCT and has helped support thousands of parents through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. She has sat on the Maternity Services Action Committee at St Mary’s Hospital.

Prior to having a family she had an international career in the hotel and tourism industry. She was involved in conducting economic, marketing and operations analysis throughout Europe and Asia. She was the first woman to be appointed to several of the roles she held in business.

Tripti Maheshwari founded Student Circus after graduation from Lancaster University in 2014 and gaining an MSc Finance from Cass Business School in 2015. She set up the search platform for international students in the UK to find Tier-2 employers willing to hire graduates. It is now used by 100+ universities which helps thousands of students based on skills and not the colour of passports!
