Join Dr. Ray Burgman for this exciting, interactive presentation. She is the Director of Programs and Research at HERS and a is a first-generation student who first used a passport in 2014 to travel to Kampala, Uganda. For over 20 years Ray has supported access, diversity, and inclusion in and around higher education.

In this webinar, you will:
• Learn about and examine organizational structures and systems which limit or prevent equitable pay
• Develop a list of resources to know the compensation numbers for your industry and role
• Generate some schemas “to call in instead of calling out; invite others into the conversation…” on the gender pay gap (and pay equity or equal pay)

Further biographical information on Dr. Ray Burgman:

She is an evangelist to those wanting to execute bold leadership. Her drive to support spaces where underrepresented peoples can thrive blossomed as a tenured faculty member in economics and management and administrator at DePauw University. Dr. Burgman had several career-defining experiences in the Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of the President while there. Burgman went on to serve as associate provost at her undergraduate alma mater, New College of Florida. She holds a BA in economics from New College and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Florida. She is a HERS Institute alumna and attended the Institute for Educational Management at Harvard University. Burgman remains connected to South Florida and has strong West Indian roots. Dr. Burgman has embraced every place her career has taken her and now resides in Denver, CO.
