As the year comes to end, it’s an exciting time to start preparing for the year to come. Most people set new resolutions and goals for the upcoming year, so let’s make sure we’re doing that in our professional lives too. There are so many exciting opportunities and events happening in 2024 that would be great for any professional at any level. Let’s work together to highlight these opportunities that are great for our professional development as young professionals or those new to the IE field.

To think about before this event: Have you set any professional goals for yourself in 2024? Is there anything you didn’t do this year that you want to do next year? Are there any events that you’re excited to attend/want to attend?

Come prepared to share your ideas as we prepare for 2024. Hope to see you there!

Host: Dominique Washington

Dominique Washington has been involved in the International Education field for about 5 years. As an undergraduate student at the University of Arizona, she spent a semester studying at the University of Sydney as an exchange student and then proceeded to work for her home university’s Study Abroad Office until her graduation. She earned her Masters Degree in International Education from New York University and soon after landed a role at the University of Texas at Arlington as a Study Abroad Advisor. Still being fairly new to the IE field, Dominique tries her best to get involved by networking and participating in events such as attending and presenting at this year’s NAFSA Region III conference. Dominique currently serves as one of the Regional Directors on the Campus Partnerships team at ISA and TEAN by WorldStrides.
