Starting your first job out of college or starting a job in a brand new field is intimidating, exciting, overwhelming, and definitely nerve-wracking. We’ve all been there before, and some of us are still experiencing these emotions. It’s normal!

If you’re a young professional or new to the International Education field, we’d love to have you join this affinity group. The best part? You’ll be surrounded by supportive, like-minded individuals. Let’s work together to have great conversations about starting off in the field, networking, combating insecurities or feelings of doubt, and anything else that comes to mind. This is a safe space!

If you’re not a young professional or new to the field, we more affinity group options.

Host: Dominique Washington

Dominique Washington has been involved in the International Education field for about 5 years. As an undergraduate student at the University of Arizona, she spent a semester studying at the University of Sydney as an exchange student and then proceeded to work for her home university’s Study Abroad Office until her graduation. She earned her Masters Degree in International Education from New York University and soon after landed a role at the University of Texas at Arlington as a Study Abroad Advisor. Still being fairly new to the IE field, Dominique tries her best to get involved by networking and participating in events such as attending and presenting at this year’s NAFSA Region III conference. Dominique currently serves as one of the Regional Directors on the Campus Partnerships team at ISA and TEAN by WorldStrides.
