Learn with Leaders through a Fulbright IEA Award

Learn how to select and prepare a competitive application to a Fulbright International Education Administrator award to France, Germany, India, Japan, or South Korea. The two-week IEA seminars are designed to familiarize US high ed administrators with the higher education systems in host countries. The program consists of briefings, campus visits, meetings with government officials, networking and cultural activities. The Fulbright Program, sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the US Department of State, is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations. This event provides an overview of the awards, eligibility criteria, and tips for preparing a strong application. Deadlines are in early November and early February.



Jen Murray is the Assistant Director of Outreach and Recruitment for the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program at the Institute of International Education. At IIE Jen develops outreach and recruitment strategies and leads the team responsible for promoting the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, which includes the International Education Administrator (IEA) awards. Jen joined IIE in January, after serving as Dean of International Studies and Director of the Institute for International Liberal Education at Bard College. She is a Forum on Education Abroad certified professional and recipient of a Fulbright IEA award to Korea. Jennifer began her career in international education as an English teacher at the University of Pecs, Hungary. Since that time she has worked with adult and military veteran students at SUNY Ulster, international student advising at the School of Visual Arts, and with student disability services at Hunter College.
